Amy Cattapan

Amy (A.J.) Cattapan is an award-winning author, speaker, and middle school English teacher living in the Chicago area. Her debut young adult novel, Angelhood, has been an Amazon bestseller in Christian teen fiction and won multiple awards, including the Moonbeam Children’s Book Award. Her second novel, a middle-grade mystery titled Seven Riddles to Nowhere, tells the story of a boy trying to save his Catholic school from closing.  She’s also been a Chicken Soup for the Soul contributor and had numerous short stories and articles published in magazines for children, including Highlights, Pockets, and Hopscotch for Girls. In addition to writing and teaching, Amy is also pursuing her doctorate in curriculum and instruction at Loyola University Chicago. Instagram for Education and Evangelization

Attendees will learn how to connect with young people in their parish and school via Instagram. They’ll learn how to set up an account, share valuable content that supplements their classroom or youth group, meeting our young people where they already spend a lot of their time – on their phones! Attendees will learn how to post pictures, and how to find and grow their following in meaningful ways.


Pinterest for Planning: A Gold Mine for Youth Ministers and Teachers!

Attendees will learn how to use Pinterest to plan activities for their youth group or classes. They will also learn how to share ideas with other people interested in evangelization and education. Attendees will practice making Pinterest boards, conducting searches on Pinterest, and participating in group boards.
