Frank Gomez

Frank Gomez is a career educator who has served in various capacities and levels in education. He is currently the vice principal and 5th grade teacher/Technology Integration Specialist at Maria Regina School, a TK-8 Catholic school in Gardena, CA. Most recently, in May 2016, Frank completed hisTechnology Integration Specialist professional certificate at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA, as a member of that program’s inaugural cohort.  He is currently pursuing his doctorate in educational technology from Boise State University. Participants will learn how to integrate edtech into any subject area by pairing CIP strategies with digital tools to increase  engagement, deepened learning, and create a student-centered, inquiry-based curriculum. Relevant Pedagogy + Innovative Tools = Deeper Learning! Model how to engage K-8 students with free and fun interactive and innovative digital tools–like Socrative, Google Apps, Kahoot, Newsela, Thinklink, Quizlet, Audioboom, Blendspace, etc.–that promote deeper learning and better subject understanding.
